February 22nd, the Chinese Lantern Festival, witnessed the arrivals of Shanghai Major teams. The four-day Group Stage will start soon on Feb 25th SGT, while the Main Event will commence on Mar 2nd SGT. Sixteen teams will battle out for glory and their portions of the total $3,000,000 prize pool.
“Can’t speak Chinese?” No worries, all teams will have their accompanied assistants with considerate service to help them to focus on the tournament.
There are many traditions for Lantern Festival, including eating an Io-like (only much smaller) stuffed food. All the players had this special treat prepared by Perfect World as the festival celebration and a welcome for their arrivals to Shanghai Major.
